MySpace, Now with Data Portability

What is Data Portability, you might ask? Data Portability is the ability for you to take your data with you, where ever you go on the web. The data that you own, such as your network of friends and your connections to those friends, is essentially tied to your open account. This means that you can go onto any website, such as myspace and bring your friends and contacts a long with you. This levels the playing field for any up and coming social networks, and makes it easier for friends and contacts to communicate online, over any medium. MySpace has partnered with several websites when it comes to data portability, such as Twitter, and Yahoo. Using a myspace user wants to pair Yahoo Instant Messanger with Myspace, for example, their myspace profile picture, interest and favorite music might show up on their Yahoo Instant Messanger Profile. Twitter is another example of data integration. Users who wish to pair their Twitter account with their MySpace account can get their MySpace Information on their Twitter profiles. Thus enriching Twitter profile pages across the spectrum, and enabling Tweeters to find each other based on their interests. Ebay also has similar plans to combine profile information. Overall, Data Portability is a good thing, and a step in the right direction for the years to come. The data belongs to the people, not the companies. Bring down those walled gardens!

Layout Updates!

I've added some new layouts to the site, as well as updated a few pages here and there. With the spirit of the release of some new albums by some great bands, I've added some layouts so you can show your love. Anberlin's New album Cities is just one layout I've added. I've also added a layout for Fall Out Boy's new album, Infinity On High. Enjoy these and I will bring you a couple more soon!

Not much Updating

I hate to say this, but things have been really busy lately. I would love to add tons of new layouts, and I plan on doing so soon. But for now I'm kind busy with life and other things, which has taken time away from adding to this site. Stay tuned becuase I plan on adding lots of new MySpace Layouts and Graphics to this site.
